Our approach

Most copy is written from the inside out. We write from the outside in.

Companies write about themselves. Their features, their history, their awards. Readers only ever care about one thing: what's in it for me? We start with what your readers are already thinking, what they've already tried, what they're afraid of, what they actually want. Then we connect that to what you offer.

That's not a technique. It's the only way copy works.

We've been based in Merrillville, Indiana since 2019. Not New York, not Los Angeles. The Midwest market has taught us that results matter more than style. The clients we work with want to know their copy is doing something measurable.

What clients say
"
"We had written and rewritten our trial signup page three times in-house. The copy we were getting was technically accurate but it wasn't convincing anyone of anything. copywritingaddicts took the brief, asked about six questions we hadn't thought of, and came back with a draft that actually made the offer make sense. Our trial-to-paid conversion rate went up 61 percent. We've since given them two more projects."

Common questions

Things people ask

Starter includes 2 rounds, Growth includes 3, and Authority includes unlimited revisions. A revision round means you give us consolidated feedback and we come back with a revised draft. We respond to every note and explain our decisions so you understand the reasoning, not just the change.

We've written for home services, SaaS, e-commerce, B2B software, food and beverage, professional services, and more. We are not specialists in one industry. We are specialists in persuasion applied to whatever the client sells. We do extensive research before every project.

A completed creative brief, which we send you after you order. It covers your audience, your offer, the problem you solve, competitors you're aware of, and any examples of copy you like or don't like. Some clients also do a 30-minute onboarding call. Either way, the research phase is collaborative.

We don't treat SEO as a separate track. We write for readers first, because search engines have gotten very good at rewarding content that humans actually want to read. If you purchase the SEO keyword research add-on, we build a keyword map before writing and incorporate it naturally into the copy.

Yes. We read extensively before starting: your existing website, emails, social posts, any brand voice guidelines you have. We interview you about tone. First drafts are intentionally closer to your current voice, and we adjust from there. By round two most clients say the copy sounds like a better version of themselves.

Rush draft is available as an add-on. It compresses the timeline by roughly 50% and moves your project to the front of the queue. Rush is not appropriate for projects where there is no existing brief material to work from. If you're starting completely from scratch, even rush projects need a minimum discovery window.

Most copy projects start with a conversation. Describe the project, we'll come back with questions and a proposal within one business day.
