We started copywritingaddicts in 2019 with one specific conviction: most business copy fails because it's written from the inside out. Companies describe their features, their process, their history. Readers only ever ask: what does this mean for me?
We write from the reader's perspective outward. We start by understanding what your buyers are already thinking, what they've tried before, what's made them skeptical. Then we build the case for your offer in language they already use.
We are based in Merrillville, Indiana, in the northwest corner of the state, thirty miles from Chicago. Not New York. Not Los Angeles. The Midwest has taught us that results matter more than style, and that clients want to know their copy is doing something measurable, not just winning awards.
In five years we have written for home services companies, SaaS businesses, e-commerce brands, professional services, food brands, and a handful of industries we didn't expect to enjoy. We have never used AI to draft client copy.
How we work
Human writing only
We do not use AI to draft copy for clients. Every word is written by a human who has read the brief, researched the category, and understands the audience. This is not a policy for marketing reasons. It is the only way to produce copy that sounds like it was written about a specific offer for a specific reader.
Research before writing
We read everything we can get our hands on before writing. Your website, your competitors, reviews of your category, support tickets, customer interviews if you have them. The best copy usually comes from what customers already say about a problem, not from what we invent.
Structured revisions
Revisions are not open-ended. We give you a framework for feedback. You note what is not working and why. We respond to each note and show our reasoning. This makes revisions faster, less subjective, and more likely to improve the copy rather than just change it.
